Why Child ID Cards?

All information is printed on a tough, durable, 30mil PVC card.  The printing is thermoset, so it can't be washed or scratched off.  The ID card should be kept in your child's wallet, backpack, purse, etc.  It should be carried by your child at all times, particularly when they are away from your sight.

Safety experts recommend that all families have three ID Cards  of each child in the household. The first and second should be carried by mom and dad or another caregiver, so that each has a picture and descriptive information to share with police and/or medical emergency personnel in the event of a missing child or medical emergency. The third should be carried by the child (younger children may affix the ID Card to a breakaway safety lanyard/necklace, while older children may choose to carry it in the book bag or pocket) during family activities - visits to the park, playground, mall, vacations, etc.)

Why A Child ID?

Every 40 seconds in the United States alone, a child is reported missing. If your child is missing, what will you be doing; replying to questions about their physical appearance, or helping police and others begin to look for your child?

In the above situation, you need a correct description of your child and you need it fast. Studies show that memory fades or distorts in an emergency - you may be so focused on finding your child that you may cause more confusion than clarity. Also, keeping a child ID at home, such as pictures or a file, will not help when you are away from home. Law enforcement and others need proper identification that is immediately available before they can take action. It does not serve responders if your Child ID information is at home.

Also, what if your child is in an accident away from home and you are not with them? Will First Responders have the contact and medical information needed to reach you or treat your child? By your child having an ID card, they will have that valuable information.
Consider these sobering statistics...

Our ID Cards are printed on both sides of the card with critical information that First Responders, Emergency Room Personnel, or Police can use in case your child is missing or in an accident.  Included on the card is such information as:

Name and address of child (with photo), Height, Weight, Color of Hair and Eyes, Identifying Marks, the names and phone numbers of three contacts, Medical Conditions and Medicines, as well as the names and phone number of their doctor and dentist.
